• Operation

  When AC power fails, the emergency ballast automatically switches to emergency mode, operating either one or two lamps. When AC power is restored the unit automatically recharges the battery. Provides 90 – 120 minutes of emergency run time.

• Installation

  Emergency ballasts do not affect normal fixture operation and may be used with either a switched or unswitched fixture. In switched fixtures, an unswitched lead is required. Installation not recommended where ambient ballast channel temperature may fall below 0°C

• Battery

  Special high temperature long-life, maintenance-free, sealed nickel cadmium batteries are standard.

These emergency ballasts convert new or existing fluorescent fixtures (including twin tube and quad compact) into emergency lights. Emergency ballasts consist of a high-temperature nickel cadmium battery, charger and electronic circuitry in one compact case. A charge indicator light and test switch are provided.
